Wind later than expected so waited until a bit after 4pm to get on water with a couple already out and another three joined us. 11m was right to start and after hour an half I came off as getting lifted as wind continued to increase. Well pleased toeside turns came off on both sides and did turns from toe to heel, too big to surf waves but a start. Surprised wind increases further west down Strait.
